20th Street Small Lot Subdivison is Currently under Planning Review

20th Street Small Lot Subdivision is located within the Mid-City neighborhood of Los Angeles and consists of five homes implementing the Los Angeles Small Lot Subdivision Ordinance. The 50-foot wide by 150-foot deep property originally contained a 3 bedroom single-family residence. Guided by the ordinance, the lot was subdivided into five individual, fee-simple lots. The design worked carefully to give each individual unit its’ own identity, but still maintaining an overall continuity of the project. The material palette breaks down the larger massing to a human-scale and adds a level of warmth. Furthermore, the project’s considerable amount outdoor space, in the form of balconies and roof decks, is a reflection of contemporary events and the desire for private outdoor space. This project is currently under Planning Review.
