The 9th Street Apartment is located in South LA.  The project consists a parking podium and four-story residential units above. Provideing 46 100% affordable apartment units，the project has taken advantage of the State Density Bonus Law and granted over 90% increase in project density.

Considering the high density of the project, the project provides various of outdoor space for the residence to increase the living comfort, including a landscaped roof garden and private balconies inside each units.

The staggered balcony volumes with bright green color make the overall building massing more vivid. For the front facade design,  perforated metal panel and handrail with gradient color are applied in some portion. With the controllable cost, the diversity of the main facade is enriched.  It also enhances the visual vitality of the community.
