It has excellent natural landscape resources such as the South-to-North Water Transfer Canal, reservoir, ecological park and botanical garden. The overall planning theme of the project is Shanshui Green town: with water as the core and mountains as the intention, to create a green living and a vibrant future city. A total of 15 plots are divided into five major theme areas: the water’s shore, the water source, the shanshui courtyard, the valley and the dynamic city.

The environment is the first thing, and water is the core. Wetlands are very important to the ecosystem. The protection of the wetlands and their ecology around the Changzhuang Reservoir is the most direct and meaningful contribution to the natural ecology and civic life of the area. The introduction of water body and green radiation into the surrounding community design, and extend the concept of green, ecological and environmental protection to the daily life of every citizen.

The green city combines five different aspect of landscape designs, including Changzhuang Lake View, Wetland Park, Riverside Plank Road, community landscape and building facade greening. Through the different scales of landscape elements, create a layered landscape system that provides a 360-degree package of three-dimensional landscape enjoyment. A number of landscape bridges connect different plots with reservoirs and wetland parks to create a walk-friendly space. These overpasses blend in with the natural landscape and greenery and the entire landscape system.

Lot 15 is the Water Source wetland park. It includes wetland ecological pavilion, low-carbon education center, water purification plant field, wetland plank road and environmental monitoring station. It not only repairs the damaged environment, but also serves as a leisure place for citizens, educates the citizens and students about environmental knowledge and promotes environmental awareness. While providing leisure and educational functions to the public, the park will also become the first ecological water purification experimental base in Zhengzhou.

Lot 1-4 are the waterside resettlement areas. The design of the water body into the community is not only a consideration at the landscape level, but also takes advantage of the natural advantages of the land to introduce the reservoir waterscape into the community. The buildings have mostly small unit, and the inspiration of the building is from water. It is based on the fluidity of the water body and forms a streamlined balcony.

Lot 5-10 are Mountain Valleys and Shanshui garden groups. In turns of building layout, the house volume rotates 30 degrees to the central landscape axis, facing the water; at the same time, the building height varies, and together with the central landscape, the valley is integrated. Through the revelation of Chinese landscape painting, the architectural shape of the ordinary house box is improved to make it more diverse and free in form. Cooperate with the gable greening to form a mountainous momentum. and the building blends in with the ground landscape.

White aluminum panel was implemented as the main shaping material, which contrasts well with the dark paint. The combination creates a clean modern look. The King Tower uses four-floor modules with staggered balconies that extend up to 13 meters to create a dynamic façade.

The Shanshui Institute relies on the South Central Business District of Changxi Lake New District, aiming to create a cultural and creative industry incubator. The architectural design incorporates the traditional Chinese cultural symbols, landscape, courtyards and mountains, creating a mountainous building with an inner courtyard. Creating indoor and outdoor common spaces and green offices. The combination of art culture and business forms a series of cultural nodes and vigorously develops the cultural and creative industries.

The 13th and 14th places are dynamic cities. The two plots are close to the subway station and community commercial plots, designed for younger groups, with small and medium-sized units. An active and agile architectural image is embodied in the architectural design. The amenities focuses on providing a large number of shared spaces, such as runways, a variety of sports facilities, and a dedicated sky business center on each tower to create a green and dynamic sharing community in the network era.
